Wicked Weeders 1st September

Hi all,

Happy Spring 🌻

Hutch has everything under control at Hipapatua, so we don't need to head back there until Friday when we'll be setting up for Saturday's community planting from 10am.

Instead, today we're going to give Andrew a hand at the Owen Delany Gully planting site. We have a few replacement plants to put in where some of the akeake have unfortunately curled up their toes after the hard frosts. We'll also finish putting in the stakes along the mowing edge.

The weather is looking good. The ground is uneven in places, so please wear sturdy footwear and don't forget your garden gloves.

Time: 12:30–2:45 pm
Where: Owen Delany Gully, Centennial Drive. We'll park up on the SPCA side.

Andrew is bringing the plants and stakes, and I'll bring a couple of spades, mallets and ties and, of course, some afternoon tea to share. 😊

Looking forward to seeing you there!
