Wicked Weeders 21st April🌱

Hi all,

Another fantastic planting on Saturday! We had 120 people sign in, with 1,700 plants going into the ground 🌱, and they all received a good watering over the weekend. A big thank you to everyone who helped with the setup and preparation beforehand, it really made a difference and helped the day run smoothly.

Tomorrow’s Weeders session is at our new time of 12:30–2:45pm.

We’ll be heading back to the Karetoto Road planting site (opposite the Honey Hive) to check plants are properly planted, staked, and mulched. It should be a quick job, but an important one to make sure everything gets off to a good start.

The weather’s looking okay, maybe a chance of a passing shower. We’ll carry on regardless. Please come prepared for rain or shine with gloves and sturdy footwear. I’ll bring some extra stakes and ties, and hopefully a bit of mulch if I can grab some beforehand. And I will bring the morning tea. 😊
