Wicked Weeders 28th April🌱
Hello everyone, hope you all enjoyed the long weekend. I almost forgot it was Monday and that we’ve got Weeders tomorrow, clearly switched off for a bit!
For tomorrow, we’ll head to the Greening Taupō Day planting site beside the golf course on Tauhara Road. With Greening Taupō Day coming up fast, it would be great to have last year’s site looking its best. Andrew will be working through with the scrub bar, and we can tackle patches of convolvulus, some areas of thick fleabane, and a number of stakes that need straightening. You can drive in and park behind the planting area to avoid stray golf balls.
The forecast is looking good, with fog clearing out to a fine day. The ground is a bit uneven in places, so please wear sturdy footwear and bring your gloves.
I’ll bring a few grubbers, mallets, ties, and afternoon tea 💚
Just a reminder of the new time: 12:30–2:30 pm.
See you there!
