Wicked Weeders 15th July🌳

Hi all,

The weather for Tuesday afternoon is looking a bit uncertain 🌧️ rain is forecast, but it may be delayed or not appear. We will make a plan, but if it’s raining, please stay home and stay dry. If we do go ahead, make sure to wrap up warm and be prepared for changeable conditions. 🌦️

Plan for tomorrow:
We’ll be heading back to the Centennial site along Centennial Drive, between the AC Baths and the entrance to the Taupō Golf Club. It was great to have you all there last week — we released most of the plants on site, but there’s still a bit left to finish off.

Andrew is keen to run the Bike Taupō mower through the area, so tomorrow we’ll focus on:

🌳Finishing off the releasing around the plants

🌳Removing bamboo stakes where they’re no longer needed

🌳Clearing branches and debris that the mower might not like

🌳Clearing mulch away from stems of plants

This tidy-up will help the site look great ahead of our next planting day on 3rd August. 😁🌳

We’ll be working closer to the AC Baths this time, near the 2022/2023 planting area.

I’ll bring a selection of tools and some afternoon tea to share.
