Wicked Weeders 1st July
Hi all,
We’re already halfway through the year and into the school holidays! We’ll still be going ahead with Weeders sessions during the break, so if you have friends or family visiting, feel free to bring them along — the more the merrier😊
This week, we’ll be heading to Hipapatua (formerly Reids Farm) off Huka Falls Road. The plan is to tidy up one of the planting sites along the riverfront, park in front of the toilets and then walk over to the left. The plants are coming along nicely, and we’ll be doing some releasing around them to help them thrive
I’m also hoping to clear some space to plant a few kahikatea 🌳 with one of Greening Taupō’s partners. I might bring the lawn mower or weed eater and try to get there a bit earlier to make a start before everyone arrives.
Time: 12:30 – 2:45 PM
I’ll bring a selection of tools and afternoon tea to share.
It’s a bit chilly at the moment, and the ground can be damp underfoot, so make sure to wrap up warm and wear sturdy footwear.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
