Wicked Weeders 17th June
Hi all 🌱
Tomorrow we’ll be heading back to the large 2025 Arbor Day planting site to finish replanting and checking the last of the plants. We did pretty awesome last Tuesday, getting through over half the planted trees. Then, a helpful group from Pathways helped us mulch a good number of check plants on Wednesday. There’s still a bit to get through tomorrow with checking mulching and staking.
🕐 12:30 – 2:45 pm
🧤 Bring your gloves and a spade if you’d like – I’ll also bring a few spares, along with a rake or two, and there are plenty of buckets on site.
☀️ The weather’s looking sunny after a frosty start, so it might still be a bit cool.
🧁 I’ll bring along some afternoon tea!
Where: The site is alongside the Tauhara Golf Course, off Tauhara Road – just before the BP.
Below is a selection of photos from the big day – check out the awesome road control team 😊, a collection of cute planters, and Shirley and Ardy from the southern end (Tauranga-Taupō) checking the plants and staking.
