Hello everyone, slight change of plans, Shawn has everything under control at the Upflow planting site along Wairakei Drive, so we are not needed there until Friday for setup.

So for tomorrow, we’ll head back to the Greening Taupō Day planting site beside the golf course on Tauhara Road. Andrew has been in with the weed-eater but there is still a little bit more to do and it would be great to have the site looking its best before Greening Taupō Day on June 4th. We will continue tackling the convolvulus and fleabane, and straightening the stakes that need it. You can drive in and park behind the planting area to avoid stray golf balls.

The forecast is looking fabulous. The ground is a bit uneven in places, so please wear sturdy footwear and bring your gloves.

I’ll bring a few grubbers, mallets, ties, and afternoon tea 💚

🌱Friday, May 15th: Plant set up at the Upflow planting site along Wairakei Drive. Pathways will support from 9:30 a.m. for a couple of hours, any additional support from 12:00 p.m. for the second load of plants would be appreciated.
