Wicked Weeders February 17th

A big thank you to everyone who came out last week, it was a hot one! ☀️
This Tuesday, we’re teaming up with Kids Greening Taupō to support their “Show the Plants Some Love” event 💚 We’ll be heading back to the 2022 Greening Taupō Day planting site along Crown Road.
The plants were well watered over the weekend, but there’s still plenty of mulch to spread 🌱 We will give some of our awesome support and then enjoy some well-deserved ice cream afterwards 😋.
Details:
📍 Pump Track / Bike Park car park, Crown Park, Crown Road (behind Tauhara Primary School)
⏰ 9:30am – 11:30am
🌦 There may be a passing shower in the morning, so bring a jacket and a hat for when the sun comes out, wear sturdy footwear and bring gloves.
There will be buckets and spades.

Coming up:
24th February: we will head to Andrew’s place to repot many seedlings that we have collected over the past 12 months🌱 Many hands will make light work of it! And if anyone has some seedlings that they would like to donate to GT, please bring them along, and we will take care of them until they are ready to be planted in the ground.
19th February:🐭Are you keen to get into trapping? Or, are you already trapping? Predator Free Taupō is putting on a BBQ to celebrate Taupōs amazing trapping community and everyone who supports this mahi. Experienced trappers, trapping groups, partners, supporters — and anyone curious about getting involved — you’re all welcome! Come along to connect, share stories, and enjoy a laid-back BBQ together.
