Hope you all had a nice long weekend. Wicked Weeders this Tuesday, we’re heading back to Wairakei Village to finish tackling the broom with Shawn. Thanks to the good turnout last week, we did pretty well, but we may have been just a little bit optimistic about getting it all done last week! 😁 Shawn’s continued clearing since then, so there should only be a small amount left to finish this time.
The weather isn’t looking quite as fabulous, with the chance of a light shower before we’re done, so bring a raincoat just in case. 🌦️
Meet at the tennis courts off Karoi Drive, at the top of the hill, from 9:30–11:30am. Head into Wairakei Village from State Highway 1 and make your way up.
I’ll bring the loppers and morning tea. Please wear sturdy footwear, as we’ll be working off track, and remember your gardening gloves and water bottle.
