Wicked Weeders 20th August

Hi all,

We had another amazing community planting on Saturday. All the plants got put in the ground and all the mulch was spread. And a nice bit of rain passed through on Sunday. The plan tomorrow / Tuesday will be to head back to the planting site to check the plants.

Our focus will be on:

🌳Ensuring all plants are correctly planted — not too deep or too shallow, and firmly heeled in
🌳We have about 100 bamboo stakes, we will stake and tie where required.
🌳Making sure plants are mulched properly, and that mulch is pulled away from the stems

The weather forecast suggests that there could be some passing showers; we are keen to have all the plants checked, so be prepared with a raincoat.

Spa Park - Centennial Road opposite AC Baths, near the NZ Post depot, follow the track through to Spa Park.

Time: 12:30–2:45 PM

The awesome KGT team will be in charge, they have all the gear for the session and will bring some afternoon tea to share.
