Wicked Weeders November 14th

Hello all,

We had our big Project Tongariro AGM at the weekend, and along with meetings, we went on field trips, including visits to Greening Taupō and Kids Greening Taupō restoration sites. The sites were looking fantastic and were very much approved, and the ongoing maintenance work was recognised and appreciated. Many thanks to all the Wicked Weeders for your ongoing support in helping maintain these sites to ensure their success 💚

The plan for tomorrow is to support the KGT Mulching event at Crown Park. The event starts at 10 am. It would be awesome if we could have a few early starters at about 9 a.m. to get an area cleared and ready for mulching before the students arrive.

The site is not as overgrown as last week at the Matariki Site. I will bring along the lawn mower, the weed eater a few grubbers, hand tools and the morning tea.

See you from 9.00 am dont forget your gloves and best bring your raincoat and sunhat🌤️

Change of plans for the following week: Peter Marshall would like to release spray around the new Hipapatua plants but they do need to be hand-released from the convolvulus first so we will get on top of this next Tuesday, November 21st. It could take one or two sessions.
