Wicked Weeders Tuesday 17th October

Hi all,

This Tuesday we are planning to head to Karatoto Rd, down the road from the Hub Cafe. There is a large cleared area opposite the Honey Hive. This is a site that we plan to plant next year. 🌳🌳🌳An excavator has pushed all the collapsed blackwoods from Cyclone Gabriel into large windrows. To make maintenance on this site easier, we are going to grass it first. So tomorrow we will pick up any material that may damage a mower and then spread some grass seed. If you have a hand-held seed spreader, bring it along. Im not too sure what other tools will be required; bring along anything that you may think will be useful 😁

Remember 930am start wrapping up with a cuppa tea around 1130

It certainly is spring, with nearly four seasons in one day🌤️ so be prepared for all and don’t forget your gardening gloves.

From next week:

On October 24th, we will head to the Centennial Road planting site. We have had some plants stolen, and there are a few dead plants along the front of the site. We have a few flaxs left over, so we fill in a few of the gaps.
