Wicked Weeders 18th February

Hi all

Thanks for the fantastic turnout last week! We made a real difference within the bowl at Crown Park 💚 It was great to see the plants standing out after we cleared the blackberry and broom.

We came across a couple of wasp nests, so we need to be careful out there 🐝

For this Tuesday, we’re teaming up with Kids Greening Taupō to support their “Show the Plants Some Love” event. We’ll be heading to the 2024 Greening Taupō Day planting site along Tauhara Road (on the golf course).

A whopping 150 students have signed up to help water and spread mulch around the native plants 💚💚 The weather looks like it will be lending a hand with some extra watering, but there’s still plenty of mulch to spread 🌱 We will give some of our awesome support and then enjoy some well-deserved ice cream afterwards 😋.

9:30 am – 11:30 am
We’ll provide buckets, spades, and rakes.
