For the 8th of Nov, we are going to join in with Kids Greening Taupō which is holding a mulching event at the Arbor day planting site Crown Park.

It was good to see a nice load of mulch turn up on site last week, it must have come just after we had left as I spied it when driving past not long after, it has been added to the existing pile, so I will bring the trailer along and 4 wheelbarrows to try and get as much mulch to the plants at the top end.

Tomorrow we could clear a few more weeds around plants before they get mulched and then maybe help out the students by filling up buckets or ensuring there is a thick layer of mulch being spread around the plants and making sure the mulch is away for the stem of the plant.

The only tools we will need this week will be some hand-weeding tools I can bring a selection of these along, maybe a spade or 2, don't forget your gloves I will also bring the wheelbarrow a couple of forks, spades and morning tea.

We'll start at 930am we will warp up as normal but the student event will run to 2 pm
