Scott Forsythe the Founder & Head Distiller of Taupō Distilling Co has founded Taupō's first and currently only commercial distillery. Taupō Distilling Co. It’s the home of 5 Mile Gin which won the Best London Dry Gin at the 2022 NZ Spirits Awards.
Part of their commitment to improving our planet is to give 1% of revenue to Greening Taupō. which is so awesome, the funds help us to continue improving the Taupō environment. We are loving 5 Mile Gin! We’re keen to get 5 Mile Gin team out to plant a tree…or 5!
